You're looking for a web developer. Google gives you 50 results. Someone offers a site for €100, another for €3,000. Both say they're professionals. How do you choose?

Questions worth asking
- Can you show 2-3 similar projects? (Check them on mobile!)
- What's included in the price, and what isn't?
- How long does it take and what do I need to prepare?
- How will I change content after launch?
- What if something breaks in a month?
Red flags
- Promises everything for a silly price in 48 hours
- Can't explain the process
- No written contract or quote
- Portfolio is only screenshots, no live links
- Poor communication before you even sign

Green flags
- Asks questions about your business
- Says no when you don't need something
- Gives realistic timelines
- Explains without jargon
- Has verifiable references
Price isn't the only factor
The cheapest developer can cost you double if the site doesn't work, they're late, or they skip SEO.
Talk to 2-3 developers. Choose based on understanding, communication, live portfolio quality, and clarity - not price alone.
Trust your gut. If something feels off before signing - it won't feel better after.
